ADVANCED SINTERING PROCESS (ASP) incl. NOVA Capsule and software is a new zirconium sintering technology from Zubler Gerätebau GmbH, which is used in NOVA Lab, NOVA Studio and VARIO S430 furnaces. It combines special furnace software and the NOVA Capsule device to optimise the sintering process.
What is Advanced Sintering Process (ASP)
ASP is a patented technology for fast zirconium sintering, consisting of:
a special furnace software algorithm,
the NOVA Capsule device for controlled cooling and heat distribution.
The purpose of the technology:
to improve the quality, transparency and strength of zirconium,
to significantly reduce sintering time,
to make the process more stable and safer.
NOVA Capsule – how it works
NOVA Capsule is a special capsule into which the sintering bowl is transferred after completion of the high-temperature stage in the furnace.
How it works:
Sintering takes place in the furnace at a high temperature.
The zirconium bowl is removed earlier, when the temperature is still high.
It is transferred to the NOVA Capsule, where the heat is evenly distributed and controlled cooling takes place.
Thanks to this:
the furnace is freed up faster for the next cycle,
the total process time is reduced.
Process speed
With ASP, standard zirconium can be sintered:
40–80 minutes — sintering time
70–120 minutes — from milling to processing at room temperature.
At the same time:
there is no loss of strength even for 3Y-TZP zirconium,
translucency and colour saturation are preserved.
