1939 - the hour of birth

The name giver and founder of today's Derungs Licht AG is Christian Derungs, who started producing universal joint lamps in 1939 in a small workshop in Gossau. His sons, Walter and Roland Derungs, built the family business into an internationally successful family company. Derungs Licht AG was founded in 1978.

 

 

Bundling forces.

1999 - the Derungs brand becomes focused

Through the integration of Derungs Licht AG into the German family company Herbert Waldmann GmbH & Co. KG, the worldwide distribution network and internal know-how could be bundled.

In the past 20 years, Derungs developed a lot of room lamps developed for the care and healthcare market.

Today, the international Waldmann umbrella identity combines high-quality lighting solutions for the areas of office, industry and care and health.

Derungs - the brand for medical technology

As of 01/01/2023, we are 100% focused on medical technology. The room lamps portfolio, such as the ZERA wall lamps, the VIVAA pendulum lamps or VIVAA free standing lights, will be offered by the Waldmann Group in the future.
